I'm talking to you, I'm talking to myself... Living one's dreams instead of just dreaming life.

Approaching my forties, after going through several life challenges and numerous jobs where I found little fulfillment, I feel an increasing need to fully live my dreams and to make the necessary efforts to achieve them, whatever they may be.

We don't always realize this when we're younger. We don't always have the clarity to do everything possible to live our passions, assuming we have them. But when we do, we don't always give ourselves enough chances. At least, that was my case a few decades ago.

I was passionate about music, particularly rap. I composed and sang, without truly believing I could turn it into a career, a livelihood. I was mistaken. Too often, I let time pass or procrastinated things that were dear to me. Today, I regret not putting more effort into it and not trusting myself more to succeed in this field. In reality, not so much, because "la hawla wa la quwwata illa biLlah" - what has passed has passed in that way and there's nothing we can do about it. We cannot change the past, whether we want to or not, but we can act in the present to build our future, and that's precisely the task I've been working on lately. Making sure not to have (too many) regrets, having (a little more) self-confidence, avoiding self-sabotage or excessive self-blame, and being as proactive as possible.

I wish this for all of you, especially the younger generations. If you have aspirations, desires, passions, the sooner you dedicate time to them, the sooner you'll be able to live them. Going to work reluctantly is not a life. Granted, choices are sometimes limited, however, we can strive to steer ourselves towards fields and/or tasks that we enjoy with minimal effort and willpower.

This brings me to the end of this writing, which began with a saying (among the proverbs selected from one of my NFT collections) and ends with another: "Where there's a will, there's a way."

Whether you're young or old, rich or poor, small or tall, it's never too late.

If you haven't realized your dreams, it's either because you didn't truly want it, or because you haven't fully committed yourself. Perhaps it requires stepping out of a certain comfort zone, pushing yourself, making efforts that will require time, energy, and patience.

Two fundamental points to remember in achieving this are patience and self-confidence. Many success stories started from zero, with few resources, but with a fierce determination to succeed, self-sacrifice, and discipline.

Everyone has their own time, their moment. For some, it starts young, for others, later. The essential thing is to believe in it and to be in action, and it will come sooner or later. Because when we lose hope and say to ourselves "it's over," the question to ask is: have we really done everything to achieve it? Truly everything? Sincerely?
