Bouginz & Bougzer
Two MCs from the 77
Bouginz & Bougzer is an independent musical project led by two MCs originally from the 77 area, in Seine-et-Marne. Born in the 1980s, they grew up with French rap, its classics, its codes, its lyrics, its groups, and its raw energy.
Before forming a duo, each of them already had his own musical journey, his own universe, his own writing style, and his own experience with rap. Two different paths, but the same passion for lyrics, freestyles, kicking flows, and the desire to put real words over instrumentals.
Today, Bouginz & Bougzer moves forward with a deliberately anonymous identity: a masked, independent duo that prefers to let the music, the lyrics, and the visual universe speak rather than the faces.

A Connection Born in 2005
The connection between the two MCs goes back to 2005, during their higher education years, after high school. As often happens in rap, things came together naturally: conversations, shared references, freestyles, first sessions, a few tracks, and the feeling that there was something to build together.
For several years, they rapped together on multiple occasions without necessarily structuring a real common project. The energy was there, the desire, the ideas too, but not yet the framework needed to turn it all into a record.
Bouginz & Bougzer did not yet exist as an official project, but the foundation was already there: two friends, two pens, two paths, and a musical chemistry that lasted through the years.
From the 77 to Canada
In the early 2010s, their paths took another direction: Canada. Montreal, Ottawa, Gatineau… the years passed, priorities changed, but the musical connection remained.
Even far from France, the two MCs would still sometimes meet around freestyle sessions, just like in the beginning. Raw, spontaneous moments, without pressure, where writing, improvisation, and the desire to rap naturally found their place again.
This distance from the 77 also gives the project a particular color: French rap shaped by exile, perspective, memories, dreams, struggles, and new beginnings.
“Entre rêves et cauchemars”:
A First Concrete Trace
In 2019, Bouginz & Bougzer took a first concrete step with the track Entre rêves et cauchemars, available on music platforms.
Created with whatever means were available, the track mainly marks one important thing: the desire to no longer just talk about making music together, but to release a real, public, fully assumed song.
There was no major campaign around the track, no big marketing plan, no complicated strategy. But the song exists, and it lays the first stone in the duo’s story.
A Pause, Then the Return of the Desire
After 2019, Covid arrived, personal lives took up more space, and the project did not go much further at the time. Bougzer continued making a few solo tracks on his side, while Bouginz stepped further away from music for a while.
Then, in 2024 / 2025, the desire returned. The two MCs began seriously discussing a common project again, with the intention of going further than the 2019 track. Several demos were created, ideas started taking shape, and a funding request was even submitted to try to give the project the resources it deserved. That request did not succeed, which slowed the duo’s momentum a little.
But the idea did not disappear.
A 7-Track EP for 2026
In 2026, Bouginz & Bougzer decided to get back to work. Rather than waiting for perfect conditions, the duo chose to use the resources available, the experience they had gained, and recent technological tools to rework the existing demos and build a real project.
A 7-track EP was then developed, with updated lyrics, instrumentals, atmospheres, and overall direction. The number 7 was not chosen by chance: it echoes the 77, the home territory of the two MCs. Where 2019 had given birth to a single track, 2026 marks a more ambitious step: a complete project, designed as a true musical calling card.
The release is planned for summer 2026, digitally on streaming platforms, with a physical version also in preparation.

DJ VAVRE on Production
Around the project, DJ VAVRE supports Bouginz & Bougzer as a beatmaker and producer.
His role is to work on the instrumentals, textures, and overall identity of the EP. The goal is not simply to place vocals over beats, but to build a complete universe: raw, sincere, independent, and with a real sonic color.
With 432 Hertz, Bouginz & Bougzer aims to create a project that keeps the energy of their original rap roots, while embracing a more mature, more polished, and more current approach.
Free, Authentic, and Independent Rap
Musically, Bouginz & Bougzer offers rap that is personal, raw, conscious, and independent, without trying to fit perfectly into any box.
The duo speaks about dreams, struggles, perspective, life journeys, exile, perseverance, contradictions, and human realities. The idea is not to follow rap codes at all costs, nor to force a certain image, but to remain free in both form and substance.
It is rap built on lived experience, connection, memory, and movement. A project born in the 77, extended into Canada, and carried by two voices that now move forward masked, but fully present.
Between Montreal, Ottawa, and Gatineau
Today, Bouginz & Bougzer is developing between Montreal, Ottawa, and Gatineau, with the desire to defend 432 Hertz on stage in the area by the end of summer 2026.
After years of freestyles, pauses, returns, and attempts, the duo is finally reaching a more concrete form: an EP, a visual identity, a musical direction, and the desire to present this project to the public.
432 Hertz represents a true first step: that of two longtime MCs finally choosing to create something solid together, while preserving the mystery around their identities.
